Midway was settled by Swiss immigrants in 1859. The town still carries that aesthetic — chalet rooflines, alpine flowers, a main street you can walk in twenty minutes that somehow takes an afternoon.
The Day
A wandering itinerary.
Morning
Walk Main Street — bakeries, antique shops, a coffee at the corner cafe, alpine geraniums on every windowbox.
Midday
Drive ten minutes to Heber for lunch at one of the valley's farm-to-table spots.
Afternoon
Wasatch Mountain State Park or Deer Creek Reservoir — a hike, a paddle, a long photograph or two.
Evening
Back to Homestead for dinner at the 1886 Grill and an after-dark soak in the Crater.
